Witness for the Prosecution, Agatha Christie’s gripping courtroom drama of justice, passion and betrayal, is coming to the Tivoli Theatre in October and you have been summoned for jury service!
Leonard Vole is accused of murdering a rich widow to inherit her wealth. The stakes are high. Will Leonard survive the shocking witness testimony? Will he be able to convince the jury and you of his innocence and escape the hangman’s noose?
Our production of this ingenious play, which Christie based on her short story Traitor Hands, and which has been adapted for TV and film many times, is directed by David Beddard-Banks and will be performed at the Tivoli Theatre from 24th to 26th October.
It stars James Bourner as Leonard Vole, Andrea Pellegrini as his wife Romaine, Chris Durham as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, counsel for the defence, and Sam Moulton as prosecution counsel Mr Myers QC. Mr Justice Wainwright is played by Richard Neal. Also in the cast are Gary Paine, Suzanne Viney, Rob Cording-Cook, Jenny Hughes, Sali Pike, Judy Garrett, Calum Hearne, Russ Guillaume, Amanda Senitt, Andy Gill, Richard Scotson, Jemma Cable, Simon Jackson and Jan Stevenson.
