The Plot
The scene is the living room at the back of Arthur Brown’s tobacconist shop, in a small town not far from London on the evening of a summer’s day towards the end of the last century.

Wimborne Drama Club held a play evening last week, when two one-act plays were presented at the Church House to give new members an oppurtunity of ‘showing their paces’.
Sunday Costs Five Pesos, a spanish comedy by Josephine Niggli, was produced by Hillary Boreham, and players were Brian Penton, Patricia Wood, Julie Best, Peggy Hastings and Beryl Verram. Dark Brown, a drama by Philip Johnson was produced by Thelma Dryden, players being George Gillard, Pam Peacock, Pam Mottram, Julie Best, Mary Ryder, Richard Hayter and Margaret Williams.
